A Brief Yet Triumphant Interlude

So yesterday, while we were practicing, one of my players decides its a good time to sing, at the top of his lungs. What song does he choose? "Still the One" by Shania Twain. You know how it goes... "looks like we made it, look how far we've come now, baby..." and so on. I felt obligated to sing it with him. It was a pretty fun practice, despite the looks we got from passers-by. Then I got home and accidentally superglued my fingers together. So I suppose my day ended up balancing out quite nicely.

Super glued your fingers together, huh? That's such a "mzungu" thing to do.

Rob, see if you can get onto the above page. If it will play it's a review of the documentary film Darwin's Nightmare--it talks about that country you're in.

Heh. I am tending to look at the finger-glueing as karmic repayment for encouraging that song to be sung. The only song that you ought to be singing down there is that Wee-mo-wep in the jungle song. Ooooweeeeyoooo bung go gay.

Also, I have 2 copies of The new George R R R Martin epic, so Robert, you're going to be getting more than one, as I mailed you one a few days ago. With a hot-pink cowboy shirt. And Advance games.

Andrew!!! Now everyone will know that I still wear pink. Its so last year....
Bri- Glad you liked the card too. How is "the city"? I've met quite a few New Yorkers since I came to Africa, weirdly enough. Thanks for the compliment on how I handled the ragamuffin.
Kenji- Hey bro, whats the working life like these days?
Cal- "Darwin's Nightmare" was largely based around Bukoba. I've heard a lot about it since arriving. We got a VCD of it, but it was dubbed in Hindi or something. Thanks for the link...
